Pom-Poms and Pomander Balls

Whether made of real flowers, silk flowers, tissue paper, or fabric, pom-poms and pomander balls are such gorgeous details. And so versatile too! We love them hanging in trees, in lieu of flower girl baskets, oh shepherd’s hooks lining the aisle- really just about anywhere. You can score these eye-catching details on a budget too!

  • Our favorite option? Do it yourself! You can create whimsical tissue paper balls for only around $1 each and still accomplish that fabulously chic effect.  Martha Stewart has some easy directions on her website.
  • Or get a group together to create flower pom-poms by selecting your silk flower of choice and arranging them on a Styrofoam ball (both available at craft stores)  (hmm…getting some inspiration for a bridesmaid assembly party here …pomegranate martinis and pom poms anyone?)
  • Don’t want to deal? Talk to your florist about creating a few pomander balls and ask for price quotes on inexpensive flowers like carnations or check out some of the very affordable handmade pomander balls for both sale and rent on Etsy.  Either way, you’ll still get the beautiful outcome of adding this detail to your wedding, but cut the price considerably.
