Hidden fees can come up in many aspects of wedding planning- the trick is to know about them and look for them! This way you have the possibility of negotiating or even eliminating these fees with vendors before you sign those contracts. And even if these fees can't be waived, it is important to know about them upfront so you can make fair comparisons when finalizing your decisions.

Some hidden costs to ask about:

• Cake Cutting Fees
• Outside Food Charges (if you bring in food outside in-house caterers)
• Corkage Fees
• Linen Rental Fees (most full-service venues have basic house linens that are included in the cost- ask if you can use those)
• Chair and Chair Cover Upgrade Costs
• Decorating Charges (do you have to pay for staff to hang things from the ceiling, etc.)
  
• Delivery Charges for Cakes, Florists, Rental Companies, etc.
  
• Parking Fees
• Coat Check Fees
• Overtime Charges (ask both your venue and vendors what the charges are if you go over your allotted time for some reason)
• Welcome Bag Delivery Fees (at the hotels where you have room blocks for your guests)

Also, these aren't hidden fees, but keep in mind that you will have to pay taxes and gratuities, which venues or catering companies will typically include in your quote. Make sure you include those in your totals when you are shopping around.
