Have you jumped on the Groupon bandwagon yet? I know I have! Groupon is a great way to save not only on activities, stores, restaurants, and experiences in your own city, but also in cities you plan to visit or on your honeymoon!

How it works: Groupon cashes in on collective buying power by offering "deals of the day" in various cities throughout the U.S. The deals typically offer some kind of gift certificate for around 50% off- which could be something like $25 for a $50 gift certificate at a local restaurant, $50 for $100 worth of spa services, or $20 for a river cruise that retails for $45 (to name a few). There is a minimum number of deals that must be purchased for "the deal to be on", and then you get your awesome deal.

What it means for you: Oh the possibilities! Groupon is great because there are deals in so many cities and there are a variety of types of deals, which means Groupon certificates are ideal for personalized thank you gifts to wedding attendants, scoring deeply discounted manicure/pedicure/spa services for your big day, or (and this is the big one in my opinion!) saving you costs on your honeymoon! If you are going to/near a city in the U.S. for your honeymoon, make sure you subscribe to the daily Groupon emails for that area. Then, you can start stocking up on gift certificates for everything from lunch to dessert to a museum visit to jetskiing! This is a fabulous way to score real discounts on things that you would like to experience on your honeymoon and will help your budget go much further!
